電子音楽を基盤に、
民族音楽や日本のポップスのテイストを
散りばめたサウンドをバックに、
伸びやかな声で表現をしている。
作詞、作曲、編曲まで自らで行う
マルチプレイヤー。
音楽に触れた始まりは、
YMOに感銘し、5歳で始めたエレクトーン。
器楽隊でアコーディオン、
ブラスバンドでアルトサックス担当の経験も。
高校生からシンセサイザーに触れ、
自作曲の制作を始める。
1997年、レコーディングエンジニア
寺田康彦氏が主宰する
「シンクシンクレコード」よりデビュー。
デビューシングル「はちみつ」は
YMOの細野晴臣氏が参加。
シンクシンクレコード、ポリスターを経て、
2013年に自身のレーベル
「yucafe records」を始動。
上野洋子主宰のVITA NOVAや、
ショップメカノの「築10年」等にも参加。
荒川都電や、プラネタリウムなど、
ユニークな場所でのライブも企画。
音楽も見えない世界も超えた先で、世界の本質を伝える人。
音楽だけではなく、エナジーワーカーとしても活動。

YUCA MURAKAMI profile
Born December 10, 1974.
Originally from Sapporo, Japan.
Currently based in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture.
My music is rooted in electronic sounds,
interwoven with elements of ethnic music and Japanese pop,
I am a multi-player who handles songwriting, composition, and arrangement myself.
My relationship with music began at the age of five,
when I was inspired by Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO)
and started playing the electone (electric organ).
During elementary school, I played accordion as a member of a school instrumental ensemble,
and in junior high school, I performed alto saxophone in a brass band.
In high school, I began working with synthesizers and started producing my own original compositions.
In 1997, I made my debut on Think Sync Records, a label founded by recording engineer Yasuhiko Terada.
My debut single “Hachimitsu (Honey)” featured Haruomi Hosono of YMO.
After releasing music through Think Sync Records and Polystar Records
Later, I launched my own label, yucafe records, in 2013,
and have since released numerous works.
I have participated in projects such as VITA NOVA's album "Shiawase" curated by Yoko Ueno,
and “Chiku 10-nen” by Shop Mecano.
I have also planned and performed live shows in unique venues,
including the “Arakawa toden“ and planetariums.
Through music and beyond the unseen world, I seek to convey the essence of the world.
In addition to my work as a musician, I am also active as an energy worker.
